Hello, Cozy Readers! It’s February already (what???), and I’m working hard on drafting books for both my Daw County Sisters Mysteries and my Not the End of the World Mysteries. Well, when I’m not daydreaming about getting out in the garden again!
Since February is a month of love, I hope y’all don’t mind if I add in a little reminder to rate and review books you’ve loved! (And I always love hearing about mysteries you’ve enjoyed, because what’s better than adding books to the TBR list? Oh, yeah, actually reading them!)
Here are a couple quotes from recent reviews for my latest,
Brothers, Blades, and Bugging Out
There are several laugh out loud moments, especially with the tech glitches. I look forward to more from this author.
(As a software developer myself, I know first-hand about tech glitches, including >gasp< a couple I’ve caused….)
The author does wrap up the ending nicely while still leaving you wanting more. Very fast paced with characters you want to know more about.
I love writing about my characters, so I’m glad to see readers enjoy hearing about them too!
What are your reading plans for this month of love? Let me know!
Sending you cozy wishes for great reads,
Tammy D. Walker

Someone Missing from Malapais Mountain: An Accidental Detective humorous mystery book 4 by Kris Bock
It’s hard to walk away from the truth when you need a cane…
Former international war correspondent Kate Tessler had to trade her illustrious journalism career for her childhood bedroom after a brush with death almost took her leg. But when the editor of a local newspaper asks for her help, Kate is drawn back into her old world. A journalist covering a sprawling story of political corruption may have uncovered explosive new evidence, but she was run off the road in a hit-and-run accident. Gabriella, Kate’s mentee, has been injured and can only communicate by blinking yes or no to questions. Meanwhile, another reporter is missing.
The editor is short-staffed, with no one experienced enough to handle something this dangerous. Kate can never give up on the search for truth, so with her trusty senior sidekicks and new PI partner—her sister, Jen—Kate takes the case. Can a fifty-year-old journalist still recovering from a war injury survive the dangers of the Arizona desert long enough to catch a killer?
A Touch of Crazy by Gudrun Frerichs
Murder or suicide? Alex’s freedom depends on the answer and time is running out.
Devastated by her husband’s so-called ‘suicide’, Alex insists someone had murdered him. Her doctor and the police think she’s crazy and send her to a psychiatric clinic. Drugged to the hilt, she grasps on proving that she’s not only sane but also right about her husband’s death. She’ll lose her freedom, her house, and her money if she fails.
Reluctantly Alex agrees to go to Seaview Manor, a retirement home, as a halfway solution to prove her sanity. Surprised Seaview Manor is not all seated yoga and bingo nights, she finds a handful of sassy residents dead set on having her back and hunting down the murderer with her.
Even the gardener with his Oliver-from-Lady-Chatterley’s-Lover-vibe steps up and offers not just help but also his heart. Alex and her friends are unsure whether they can trust him. He might be just the help they need… or put them all in terrible danger. They bring in the police and discover Patrick the gardener is not who he said he is. The suspicions run high.
When this Granny-Crime-Squad stumbles over unexpected evidence in Alex’s house, they know they’re closing in on some very dangerous people. They have to act quickly because attacks on Alex’s life spell big trouble and time is running out.
With Alex’s life at stake, will the friends be able to reveal the murderer in time?
With its mix of mystery, suspense, and a sprinkling of romance, this thrilling story will have you on the edge of your seat until the twist at the very end.
